We are looking for a reliable, talented, career‑minded team member and self‑starter for a full‑time position in our Electrical Engineering Department. The work entails up to 40% overnight travel to customer facilities with the balance of time spent at our Rochester Hills location. A successful candidate will be highly productive while being organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects and assignments at the same time.
Duties- Create and modify detailed electrical control design schematics in AutoCAD and Eplan.
- Create and modify electrical control software programs for various PLC and HMI systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Toyopuc, Omron, Mitsubishi, IDEC and Automation Direct.
- Troubleshoot and modify Industrial Control Panels during FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
- Assist in new installations as well as support existing system upgrades and retrofit applications while ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
- Prepare documentation for test reports, procedures, sequence of operation and site visit reports.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, programming or a related discipline. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong knowledge of various industrial system components, sensors and electrical equipment (motors, pumps, solenoid valves, relays, VFDs, 24 VDC/120 VAC/480 VAC).
- Technical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and at minimum one PLC & HMI software (AB/Siemens/Toyopuc/Omron/Mitsubishi/IDEC/Automation Direct).
- Experience with robot control integration and robot programming.
- Experience with wastewater or fluid management systems including pumps, piping and valves.
