The Nutrition Program within the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences invites applicants for the position of Lecturer to teach NTR 4350 Nutrient Metabolism in Winter 2026. This lecture‑based course is scheduled in‑person, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3‑4:47 pm at Oakland University main campus. The Winter semester is January 6‑April 28.
The primary goals of the course are to
1) explain the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals;
2) describe associations with dietary requirements and disease processes, nutrient interactions and nutrient stability; and
3) cover digestion, bioavailability, and food sources of macro‑ and micronutrients.
Masters level or higher in nutrition, biology, biochemistry, or related field. Teaching experience preferred.
