What You’ll DoAs a Resident Engineer, you will support construction oversight for a major wastewater treatment plant and additional municipal projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Serve as the on‑site representative during construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, project managers, and municipal stakeholders.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, and field documentation.
- Monitor construction schedules, quantities, and quality control procedures.
- Identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the project team.
- Conduct and document progress meetings and site observations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and correspondence.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction engineering or oversight.
- Direct experience with wastewater treatment plant design or construction strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contract administration, and municipal infrastructure standards.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work full‑time on site.
