Asda Rochdale Transport Clerk

Wincanton is inviting applications for an Asda Rochdale Transport Clerk (AT4 Grade) secondment of 6 months. You will report to the Transport Team Manager and support the management of a fleet of drivers and transport support colleagues to meet operational targets.

• Full time – secondment (6 months)
• Shift pattern – rotating days and nights (4 on 4 off)
• Input daily run sheets onto spreadsheets and web‑based programmes
• Filing of transport‑related documentation
• General transport administrative tasks
• Completing daily reports and communications
• Complete small projects; identify and communicate results
• Brief drivers at shift start, communicate planned requirements and performance updates
• Debrief drivers via Microlise
• Support fleet recovery/maintenance plan
• Increase communication with stores
• Ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Act and health & safety regulations
• Undertake other,unsigned duties as required for effective operation

• Previous experience working in an office environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Transport experience preferred but not essential
• Understanding of Drivers Working Time Directive and EU Regulations desirable but not essential
• Strong administration skills with attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Self‑motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Good team player able to work independently
• Communication skills at all levels

Salary: £27,199chosen per annum.
