Overview

  • Annual salary of £24,654 (£28,506 FTE)

The role

The purpose of this role is to support Petrus service users and the wider community to engage in social and therapeutic horticulture and to support the development of our corporate social value horticulture programme at our community garden PIER and its associated projects.

The right fit
  • An understanding of the underlying principles and methods used in social and therapeutic horticulture and social prescribing delivery models.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of horticulture principles and practices and the ability to pass this knowledge on to others.
  • Ability to develop new and existing projects based on the principles of coproduction.
  • Experience of supporting and delivering horticulture-based activities for service users, volunteers and groups with varying abilities and skill levels.
  • An understanding of the issues faced by people who are at risk of or are experiencing homelessness and or those with complex support needs
