Location:
Littleborough, England, United Kingdom
Salary: c £45,000 per annum
Shift pattern:
Rotating 6-2 / 2-10 shifts Monday to Friday

On behalf of a global manufacturing company based near Rochdale, we are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer responsible for the maintenance of production machines, related equipment, site services equipment, and building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the availability and operational effectiveness of all production and site services equipment, conducting reactive and proactive maintenance.
- Schedule planned maintenance tasks and complete them as planned, keeping plant and infrastructure in good working order.
- Improve site operational effectiveness and reduce downtime by implementing agreed improvement plans in line with KPIs.
- Work as a team on technical best practices and establish related policies and procedures.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by updating training, working practices, and procedures.
- Promote the use and development of root‑cause analysis and condition‑based monitoring methodologies.
- Develop a detailed understanding of production processes and machine operation through training and self‑learning to diagnose and rectify faults efficiently.
- Autonomously initiate and assign technical activities in support of new products, processes, applications, or technologies.
- Recognised electrical and/or mechanical engineering qualification.
- Well‑organised problem solver, analytical, with attention to detail.
- Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding and repair experience on a wide range of machinery and equipment gained in a relevant manufacturing organisation.
- Experience with inverter drives, machine control systems, and PLCs.
- Familiarity with planned maintenance systems, e.g., Pirana or similar applications.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of modern maintenance techniques, including PLC and inverter fault‑finding, programming, and replacement.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of and experience with workplace safety and environmental requirements, including current regulations.
- Effective communication skills, independent initiative, logical thinking, and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to produce accurate, timely, and complete reporting information using available computer systems.
