An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Extra Care Scheme at Hare Hill, Littleborough, for an Extra Care Team Leader. The applicant for this new and exciting role must be caring, dedicated, and flexible, possessing a ‘can-do’ approach and attitude, and be motivated to succeed. They should also have the skills to inspire and cultivate the staff team.
Job SpecificationYou will be responsible for:
- A team of support care workers
- Being the first point of contact for the Extra Care Team for any concerns or issues that arise during the shift
- Resolving issues and escalating them to the appropriate people when required
- Emergency on‑call duties on a rolling rota basis to support the service
- Conducting appraisals, supervisions, back‑to‑work interviews and medication competencies to ensure the care team follows Willowbrook Homecare’s policies and procedures and adheres to best practices
- Occasionally working on shift to deliver high‑quality care (to cover sickness, etc.)
The key to being successful in this position is experience, enthusiasm, motivation and work ethic.
Key Skills and Attributes- Someone who enjoys helping people and who wants to make a positive difference in people’s lives
- A caring nature, good personal values, with a will to do well
- Team Leader experience (preferable)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the Health & Social Care sector, and a minimum QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- IT skills are essential due to various administrative tasks;
Microsoft 365 preferred - Knowledge of Access (preferable)
- A positive and can‑do attitude
- Commitment, tact, patience, creativity and proactivity
- Understanding of how people learn and a passion for helping others develop their skills
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Detail‑driven, able to complete thorough handovers both verbally and in writing at shift end
- Full driving licence and suitable transport
- Flexible working hours, contracted hours offered
- Competitive rates of pay every four weeks
- Generous mileage allowance of 30p per mile

- Holiday allowance: bank holidays paid at time and a half, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day double time
