Finance Assistant

An exciting opportunity has come available to join a fast‑paced finance function as a Finance Assistant. Working within a small Operations Admin team supporting the Finance Manager on a range of duties.

• Creating customer accounts to include credit checks
• Credit control
• Processing customer payments when required
• Processing of cash receipts
• Processing credit notes and invoices
• Allocating cash
• Monthly statements
• Assisting with customer account queries
• Assisting with other areas of accounts when required including month end work
• Assisting with Audit
• Processing expenses
• Providing general cover within the Finance team

• Ability to be flexible.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently.
• Have previous experience working within an administrative role.
• Experience of working in a busy environment.
• Demonstrate excellent organisation, attention to detail and workload management.
• Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate with strong Excel and Outlook skills.
• Can work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives.
• Ability to be proactive and work independently.
• Confident problem solver.
• Systems requirements – Sage 200 experience would be preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
