Cover Supervisor

Teachwise is currently looking for a cover supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in the Rochdale area. The role will begin asap and will continue on an ongoing ad-hoc basis.

The role of a cover supervisor is a varied one and no two days are the same! You will be delivering pre-set work to pupils from year 7 - year 11 in a variety of subjects, helping pupils understand the topics, provide any support they require and manage any behavioural issues within the classroom.

Ideally, you will have worked as a cover supervisor in a secondary school or academy previously or will have worked as a teaching assistant or support assistant and are now looking to manage a classroom.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a cover supervisor
• Excellent communication and engagement skills
• Ability to deliver pre-set work
• Work with pupils from year 7 - year 11
• Strong behaviour management strategies
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Available ASAP for work in the Rochdale area
• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
