Our client, a prestigious educational institution in the heart of Rochdale, Lancashire, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate PMLD Teacher to join their dedicated team. Based in our client's state-of-the-art facilities, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored, engaging, and enriching educational experiences. Your creativity and adaptability will be crucial as you cater to the unique needs and abilities of each learner, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans to address the unique needs of students with PMLD
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support and care for each learner
  • Create and deliver engaging, sensory-rich lessons that foster learning, communication, and social development
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the overall development of the school's PMLD programme
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Extensive experience working with students with PMLD in an educational setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing tailored learning programmes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and adapt to the unique needs of each learner
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with PMLD
