Role Overview

Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Level 2 teaching assistant to work in schools across Rochdale, supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Work in a classroom environment supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. The role also involves personal care, requiring patience, empathy, and professionalism.

• Level 2 teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous classroom experience working with children with SEND
• Personal care experience
• An enhanced child and adult DBS registered on the update service
• A caring, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting children
• Ability to work well as part of a team and follow school policies

• Pay:
  From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Hours:
  
  Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
• Contract:
  
  Agency, term‑time only
• Ongoing support from a dedicated Axcis Education consultant
