Science Teacher – SEMH Provision (Rochdale)
Pay: £150 – £210 per day (depending on experience)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term opportunity available
I’m currently working with a school in Rochdale that supports students with SEMH needs, and they’re looking for a Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a great opportunity for a Science Teacher who enjoys building strong relationships, creating structure in the classroom, and helping students re-engage with learning. The school has a supportive team in place and a strong focus on consistency, routine and wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (depending on experience and specialism)
- Delivering structured lessons with clear routines and expectations
- Supporting students with SEMH needs, where behaviour and wellbeing can be a key part of the day
- Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams to keep learning positive and consistent
- Helping students develop confidence, resilience and a more positive relationship with education
- QTS or QTLS
- Experience supporting SEMH, behaviour needs or similar in a UK school setting
- A calm, resilient approach and strong classroom management
- A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
