Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Skills:

SEN, Reading and Writing Support, Behavioural Management, Classroom Management, KS1, KS2

Job Responsibilities:

* Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour

* Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)

* Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance

* Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour

* Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources

* Supervise students during break times and off-site activities

* Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher

* Collaborate with other teaching assistants and school staff to create a supportive learning environment

* Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Required Qualifications:

* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

* Prior experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar role

* Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

* Knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum

Knowledge and

Skills:

* Strong understanding of SEN support strategies

* Proficient in providing reading and writing support

* Excellent behavioural management skills

* Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment

* Familiarity with KS1 and KS2 curriculum

Preferred Qualifications:

* Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) support

* Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

* Temporary position with full-time hours
