Carrier Coordinator

The Carrier Coordinator is responsible for monitoring trailer collections in and out of all JD warehouses, as well as any operational day‑to‑day processes between warehouse and carrier. They ensure trailer fill rate and utilisation is recorded against plan and attend daily calls with peers to maintain or improve this metric. The Carrier Coordinator will maintain the trailer schedule and ensure records are up to date to allow for informed decision making.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week.

• Update and manage trailer schedules for all JD warehouses and carriers
• Monitor and record trailer departures and arrivals into warehouse and carrier
• Attend daily calls with warehouse teams to discuss plan and timings
• Monitor and record trailer utilisation across each carrier and warehouse
• Control the trailer management proactively, adjusting based on demand
• Support Carrier Analyst/Manager with accurate metrics and incident reporting
• Develop out‑of‑hours process and escalation plan with carrier and warehouse teams
• Act as first point of contact for trailer issues/delays
• Act as first point of contact for warehouse dispatch issues related to carrier
• Monitor carrier assets and usage in warehouse

• Organisation skills and accurate record‑keeping
• Beginner use of Excel and comfortable using Microsoft Office
• Comfortable communicating with different teams and suppliers each day
• Comfortable monitoring a plan and taking action
• Strong people skills with clear written and oral communication capabilities
• Positive attitude and willingness to handle challenges and tasks
