We are currently seeking a System Analyst to join our IT Department in Robstown/Calallen, TX. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who excels at evaluating, supporting, and optimizing enterprise systems in a fast-paced operational environment. This position is a 100% on-site role based in our headquarters office. Candidates must be able to work in person during all scheduled work hours.

This role is responsible for specifying, designing, installing, and maintaining PCs and local and/or wide area networks. Duties include developing and implementing information system applications, hardware, and software for meter reading systems, as well as other highly technical systems such as advanced communications applications. The position requires thorough and up-to-date knowledge of various computer software and hardware. Interactions with members, colleagues, and the general public are conducted in a courteous and professional manner across all NEC activities.

Additionally, the individual keeps the IT Director informed by submitting daily reports on routine operations and the progress of special projects and initiatives.

• Enhances the efficiency of the Cooperative by designing, developing, and implementing new software applications to increase productivity based on use‑cases.
• Develops and implements in‑house software applications and enhancements for existing applications to improve efficiency of the Cooperative by evaluating existing software applications and work processes.
• Keeps the security level of the Cooperative at a high level by designing and performing network and server security audits.
• Works with department managers to identify and resolve system issues by creating systems or enhancing current systems.
• Ensures systems continuity by creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to system configurations, processes, and service records, including use‑case diagrams.

• Associate degree in CIS or related field, 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Ability to learn and train others to use computerized customer information and utility system applications at an advanced level
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Server Software, Linux, and various networking equipment
  • Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking, and accessory equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Visio, Access, PowerPoint, Project, backup programs, firewalls, VPN devices, and configuration management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft reports, professional correspondence, and procedure manuals

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Additional relevant IT certifications are highly desirable.

• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License
• CompTIA Network+ Certification
