Overview
Language Needs:
Fluent Spanish (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Comprehensive) and English proficiency. This position requires a master’s or relevant bachelor’s degree with clinical experience, licensure eligibility, and applicable certifications.
- Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that apply to this position.
- Maintain a caseload following agency policies, licensing, and contract standards.
- Conduct intake interviews and initial child assessments.
- Participate in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children.
- Develop, implement, and update child therapeutic plans.
- Provide counseling, crisis management, evaluations, and other clinical functions as assigned.
- Record relevant clinical data and report clinical information as required.
- Maintain accurate and current child records and files.
- Provide data to support staff regarding the admission/discharge of children.
- Facilitate continuity of services for children by the clinical department.
- Meet predetermined deadlines for timely processing and reunification of unaccompanied alien children.
- Assist in discharge planning and maintain the on-call schedule for children and staff.
- Maintain current knowledge of community resources and communicate effectively with referral sources and providers.
- Participate in meetings, team decisions, and professional development activities.
- Prepare and maintain assigned reports per agency policies and licensing/contract standards.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Implement safety protocols, including evacuating with children and staff in emergencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Compass Connections’ professional and ethical standards, including dress code.
- Required – 2 years related experience and/or training, or 5 years clinical employment.
- Academic requirements:
Master’s degree in social work with clinical program experience or Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or related behavioral science with direct clinical program requirements; or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of clinical employment experience. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure. - Certifications:
First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention. - Language:
Fluent Spanish (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Comprehensive) and Fluent English (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Comprehensive). - Pass pre-employment drug screen and random screens; provide work eligibility proof; pass criminal background checks.
- Demonstrated skills in group, individual, and family therapy; ability to work with diverse populations; crisis intervention capabilities; and computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Immunization policy: annual influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (proof required).
