Overview

Perform maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment. Lead/Assist in any duties required. All duties assigned by the supervisor/lead are to be performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Candidate must be willing and able to:

* Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment (forklifts, Track mobile, Backhoes, Scrap Handlers, etc.)

* Strict adherence to plant safety rules and procedures

* Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, heavy transmissions, heavy-duty truck differentials, air brake equipment, automotive electrical system, heavy duty hydraulics

* Air Conditioning knowledge

* Change tires, perform welding and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Safety Minded

* Positive attitude
* (Preferred) 2 years' experience on repair of Diesel engines and heavy transmissions

* Pass (70th percentile) the Mechanical Aptitude Test

* Computer literate

* Ability to create and maintain a safe work environment for self and crew

* Good communication skills

* Valid driver's License

* Supply own tools 1" and down
