Heavy Equipment Mechanic — Roanoke, VA | Vermeer All Roads

Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with diesel engines and problem solving? We are excited to bring on a new addition as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. If you’re mechanically inclined, hands-on, and ready to build a career with a supportive team, we want to hear from you today!

• $25–$32/hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (for qualified candidates)

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions;
  hydraulic and electrical experience required
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
• Perform effective welding as needed
• Create accurate repair estimates within work orders
• Maintain detailed repair records in CDK Global
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, electrical, and hydrostatic diagnostic capability
• Proficiency with repair documentation (CDK experience preferred)
• Welding ability and safe work practices
• Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused
