Friendship is looking for PRN Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Friendship Resource Pool. The Resource Pool Staff Nurse position promotes the physical and mental health of residents by applying the nursing processes. The position coordinates and monitors medical services, including psychiatric, dental, podiatry, vision and medication management, in accordance with the requirements of regulatory agencies and in response to individual resident needs.

• Direct the day‑to‑day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long‑term care facility to include POC and PCC documentation compliance
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Complete corresponding electronic health records upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge
• Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures to include updating care plans
• Make appropriate reports to the Nurse Supervisor as required or as may be necessary. Follow facility’s established policy
• Consult with the resident’s physician in providing the resident’s care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc. as necessary
• Review the resident’s chart for specific treatments, medication orders, diets, etc. as necessary
• Ensure that adequate medical supplies, equipment, etc. are maintained on unit/shift at all times to meet the needs of the residents
• Participate in the development and implementation of the procedures for the safe operation of all nursing service equipment
• Other related duties and responsibilities as directed by facility

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state, required
• BLS/ Adult First Aid, CPR and AED
• ASN/BSN preferred
• Experience in a long‑term care/nursing facility preferred
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
• This position requires working hours in Friendship Rehab North, Friendship Assisted Living, Friendship Rehab South, Friendship Salem Terrace, Friendship Richfield Health Center, and Friendship Richfield Assisted Living
