Intern: Green Ridge Baptist Church

othing fancy happens in the Green Ridge Baptist Church internship program. We simply want to unveil regular, day-to-day ministerial life and provide a grid for doing the work of ministry. In addition to observing church life today, GRBC interns will spend much of their time engaging in conversation with our pastoral staff about the difficulties of ministry and the goodness of God.

Through these conversations and their interaction with our church’s life, interns will discover that we believe God’s church is the main sounding board of the gospel, but a sounding board that’s largely ignored in Christian circles today. Not only that, they will consider what it means to build a church, not according to the latest cultural waves or “whatever works,” but according to all that the Bible says about our life together as the local church.

Praise God that His Word is not silent on matters of ecclesiology and pastoring.

Interns will join our pastors in weekly meetings to prepare sermons, share needs within our ministries, plan upcoming gatherings, and sit in on counseling sessions. When you intern with GRBC, you’ll see firsthand how pastors lead believers in church membership and pastoral ministry goes beyond preaching in the pulpit.

Interns at GRBC will gain experience in:

• Building relationships
• Planning prayer gatherings
• Leading and teaching
• Doing administrative work
• Planning events and book studies

The internship lasts for ten weeks and is a paid internship. Deadlines to apply for each semester are:

• Spring term:
  November 1st for duration from January 1st – April 30th
• Summer term:
  March 1st for duration from May 1st
  - August 30th
• Fall term:
  July 31st for duration from September 1st
  - December 31st

We are a covenant fellowship of believers with a desire to center our lives around the person of Christ & are driven by the Good News of His sacrifice for our sin. Our church is rooted in historic Christianity, Protestant by our convictions, and Baptist in our confessions.
