Job Overview
Production Manager – Marvin Roanoke is looking for a Production Manager to join the team. The Production Manager is responsible for leading the Production Departments to support Marvin Windows and Doors corporate objectives. This will be accomplished by partnering with the management team. The Production Manager ensures proper application of policy, maintenance of discipline, meeting schedules and accomplishing key metrics through direction of subordinate leaders.
Highlightsof your role
- Provide direction and leadership for supervisors and employees within the production departments.
- Work with all supporting functional areas coordinating and supporting cross functional activities as required. Appropriately challenge ideas and/or programs that may be preventing accomplishment of goals.
- Evaluate production performance and work with Supervisors to give direction as needed for improvement.
- Monitor production results and resolve issues to ensure goals are met.
- Drive production improvement.
- Responsible for creating positive employee relations and promoting employee engagement as measured by the Employee Engagement Survey.
- Work with other facilities to manage labor.
- Review and write annual performance evaluations.
- Participate in interviews, select, coach and develop supervision so they can be productive and as successful as possible.
- Meet and maintain safety measures (OSHA incident rate).
- Manage productivity to ensure man hour goals are met.
- Partner with Quality to meet goals.
- Manage and submit budgeting for manufacturing departments.
- Ensure reviews are on time and reduce turnover.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university in a related field preferred. If a four-year degree has not been obtained at the time of initial assignment to this position, a minimum of 5 years manufacturing leadership experience.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Experience managing people, processes and systems in a made-to-order environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
