Position Overview

We seek a highly organized, proactive Paralegal to support our Chief Legal Officer. This role involves dispute management, legal document preparation, contract management, corporate governance, compliance, and administrative support for the Legal Department.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong project management and communication skills, and handle sensitive, confidential information professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support dispute and litigation documentation and processes under attorney supervision.
  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, corporate documents, and legal correspondence.
  • Organize, track, and manage contracts and legal documents; implement contract databases ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Support corporate governance efforts, including legal entity filings.
  • Conduct legal research on regulatory, corporate, and compliance issues.
  • Assist with due diligence, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain legal department files, calendars, and task lists, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Help prepare responses to subpoenas, information requests, and legal claims.
  • Support confidentiality agreements (NDAs), customer and vendor contracts, and transactional matters.
  • Assist with compliance and internal policies.
  • Perform administrative duties and support special projects for the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal Certification (ABA-approved) preferred.
  • 8-10 years of Paralegal experience in a legal department or law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, corporate governance, and legal compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and document management systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial companies is a plus but not required.
