ERP Applications Manager; Workday

We are seeking an experienced ERP Applications Manager to lead the strategy, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise systems
—primarily Workday and related platforms. This role sits within the Technology Services organization and partners closely with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and other business units to ensure Workday is stable, scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate brings deep Workday expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and hands‑on experience managing complex ERP environments.

• Develop and own the strategic roadmap and governance for the Workday ecosystem.
• Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance across Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Financials, Recruiting, Learning).
• Ensure system performance, scalability, data integrity, and compliance with internal standards.

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Translate business needs into Workday solutions, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Provide guidance on Workday capabilities, best practices, and upcoming releases.

• Lead and mentor Workday analysts, administrators, and support staff.
• Oversee relationships with Workday and third‑party implementation or support partners.
• Set team priorities, allocate resources, and manage workloads effectively.

• Lead Workday release cycles, updates, and regression testing.
• Oversee integrations with third‑party systems (benefits vendors, payroll providers, identity management, ERP tools).
• Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and well documented.
• Support application lifecycle planning, upgrades, and operational readiness.

• Manage Workday security roles, domains, and business process frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and data privacy requirements.
• Support advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytics for data‑driven decision‑making.

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
• Monitor system usage and performance metrics to drive optimization.
• Stay current on Workday product updates, roadmap changes, and industry trends.

• Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain, Integrations, or Security).
• Experience supporting large, complex, or highly regulated environments (healthcare, finance, education, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile or ITIL service management practices.
• Strong communication and change‑management skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of five years of IT experience.
• ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Highly analytical, dependable, detail‑oriented, and self‑directed.
