Field Service Technician

Requirements

• Experience:
  
  2+ years is preferred but not required
• Must have access to a reliable motor vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• TOP 2 required skills:
  Self-motivated and organized
• Certifications or education: A+ is nice to have, but not required
• On call:
  Every other week 24/7 on-call
• Candidates should be located within 30 miles of 24029
• Supporting Roanoke, VA and surrounding area - Lynchburg, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Salem, Forest
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Candidate review and interviews start:
  Dec 1st.

• Run cases from home
• Primary day-to-day responsibilities:
  Daily travel to customer sites to repair printers (primarily Fujifilm and Lexmark), replace workstations, troubleshoot networks, work on POS equipment.
• Miles per day driving: 50-150 miles
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
• Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
