How You’ll Help Transform HealthcarePosition in a 12‑bed ICU specializing in non‑traumatic brain injuries, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, seizure disorders, brain tumor/cancer, and neuromuscular conditions. This unit also serves as the alternative unit for neurosurgery patients. The role is full time, working the night shift with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
As a clinical associate, you will provide basic clinical services to patients and clerical support to the unit health‑care team. You will welcome and assist patients and visitors with registration.
Responsibilities- May assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Coordinates patient flow into/out of area using department/unit specific software and Intranet. Schedules patient therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- May review medical records for outstanding orders and notifies nurse of stat orders and medication changes.
- Cleans unit‑based equipment and gathers supplies needed to operate equipment between patients as needed.
- Transports patients, supplies, specimens and equipment within the facility.
- May assist with chart audits.
- May perform unit‑based patient care tasks for patients.
- May participate in the sitter process.
- Interacts with patients, visitors, physicians, and other health professionals.
- Answers incoming calls via telephone and patient call system. Routes calls as needed and takes messages.
- Provides scheduling coverage support for department/unit staff scheduling, including back up coverage.
- Operates and maintains general office equipment. Orders department/unit supplies and equipment and stocks/organizes supplies.
- Serves as a resource for department/unit software system.
- Monitors cleanliness of waiting and break rooms and performs safety/environmental rounds.
- Assists with maintaining regulatory compliance in unit.
Employee must attend mandatory orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for the first two weeks of employment. All classes are in person except for two online classes.
QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or GED.
Experience: None.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: None unless Certified Nursing Assistant is required for Critical Access Area.
Life Support: AHA BLS‑HCP required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Effective interpersonal, communication, and team‑working skills. Must be organized and self‑motivated. Must have knowledge of office procedure and equipment.
