Additional compensation commensurate with experience.
- Master's Degree: $27/hour Degree must be eligible to register as a Resident in Counseling or Supervise in Social Work.
- Licensed LPC or LCSW Pay: $34/hour
- 11% Shift Differential
Join a team dedicated to providing compassionate and effective mental health care to individuals in crisis. Our Emergency Services program provides on‑site and telehealth crisis services and psychiatric hospital preadmission screening within local hospitals and jails.
Responsibilities- Conduct crisis assessments, including psychiatric history, medication compliance, and substance abuse evaluation.
- Provide crisis counseling and intervention.
- Collaborate with police, magistrates, doctors, and family members to determine best possible outcomes and appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide referrals for ongoing care, such as inpatient hospitalization or community resources.
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a mental health professional
- Experience in crisis intervention and mental health assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter, work well within a team setting, and can lead when individuals are in crisis. To be successful in this role you must have good communication and time‑management skills and be detail‑oriented.
Requirements- Education: Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work that is eligible for registration as a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work
- Certification/Licensure: Training provided to become a Certified Pre‑screener within the first 6 months of employment. We will provide free licensure supervision to pursue licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Safe Driving Record: Candidates must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a safe driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years).
- Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to complete a background check and drug screen.
- Sign‑on Bonus: New hires and rehires are eligible for a $2000 sign‑on bonus: $1000 paid out on the first paycheck and $1000 paid out on the second paycheck.
