The schedule for this position is 8 AM - 5 PM, Mon - Fri. No weekends!
License Eligible Starting Pay: $24.08/hour. Licensed Starting Pay: $31.08/hour. Additional compensation commensurate with experience.
The Therapist coordinates services for pre-school youth in the Head Start programs. They complete assessments and make recommendations to address behavioral concerns. The Therapist also provides training and education for parents and Head Start staff. This position is funded by the Head Start grant.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: Master's degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. LPC or LCSW preferred.
- Experience: Two years of experience working with children who are experiencing behavioral issues and may be at risk of serious emotional disturbance.
- Safe Driving Record: Candidates must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a safe driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years).
- Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
