• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical suites by organizing instruments, supplies, and advanced surgical equipment for various procedures
• Assist surgical team with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety
• Scrub in and provide first scrub assistance during surgical procedures by anticipating surgeon needs and passing instruments efficiently
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols and regulatory requirements
• Monitor patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, identifying and addressing concerns promptly
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques throughout all surgical cases
• Complete efficient operating room turnover between cases to optimize surgical schedule flow
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless surgical team coordination
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities

• Minimum 1+ years of Operating Room Technologist experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures across multiple specialties
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain sterile field integrity
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high‑pressure surgical situations

• Demonstrated competency as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas:
  Robotic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Neuro/Spine Surgery, and Vascular Surgery
• Advanced certification or specialized training in surgical subspecialties
• Leadership experience mentoring junior surgical technologists
