• Design protection and control systems.
• Create schematic and wiring designs.
• Assign project tasks and provide technical guidance to junior team members on moderate to highly complex projects.
• Perform QC reviews for work performed by junior and mid‑level engineers and/or designers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leaders to develop specific technical expertise and attend training and seminars.
• Assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR’s technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events.
• Conduct quality control reviews of projects from other teams as needed.
• Work independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise less‑experienced EITs and/or designers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of substation design experience.
• Experience using standard industry design software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous consulting firm experience desired.
• Some travel may be required.
• Preference given to local candidates.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, and Revit).
• Active participant of HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
