We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Jan 19, 2026. This opportunity involves 24-hour, in-house shifts with availability required for nights and weekends. The assignment is based at a regional perinatal center with a busy, high-acuity NICU environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care in a 60-bed Level-IIIB NICU with approximately 625 annual admissions and an average daily census of 36
• Manage infants requiring high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy
• Collaborate with pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
• Participate in the care of neonates from a patient population of approximately 3,100 annual deliveries
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards

Additional Information

• Active VA medical license required
• Board Certification in Neonatology required
• Copy of NPDB self-query report required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
