At Real Life Dental, our patients are our highest priority. Our dentists and team give our patients full attention, offering a full range of services. We provide quality care in a warm, relaxing environment and use the latest technologies to ensure precise, comfortable treatments. We are committed to our patients’ smile and comfort, and work hard to help them achieve and maintain a healthy smile for life.

Where leadership meets people skills… and the magic actually happens.

Position Summary
Real Life Dental Roanoke is looking for a Practice Manager who’s got the brains of an administrator, the heartbeat of a clinician, and the leadership instincts to pull it all together. If you thrive in fast-paced dentistry, understand clinical flow like a second language, and can rally a team with confidence, this might be your perfect fit.

And yes — we want someone who knows how to strengthen case presentations, support treatment planning, and boost case acceptance like a seasoned pro. Your experience matters here. A lot.

What You’ll Do (and do well): ⭐
Lead the Team Like a Pro

Run daily huddles that energize the team and keep everyone dialed in.

Build trust with doctors and staff — high collaboration, low drama.

Coach team members in their roles, communication, and performance so everyone levels up.

Keep Operations Running Smoother Than Fresh Composite

Maintain top-tier OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, and infection control standards.

Master both the clinical side and the admin side — flow, systems, and patient expectations.

Guard the schedule like the crown jewel it is.

Strengthen Case Presentation & Case Acceptance

Support the team in delivering confident, clear, patient-friendly treatment presentations.

Ensure treatment plans are accurate, timely, and fully explained before the patient leaves.

Coach front desk + clinical teams on verbiage, confidence, and follow-through to increase acceptance.

Keep follow-ups tight and intentional — no treatment left behind.

Keep a close eye on production, collections, AR, and new patient growth.

Spot trends early and create action plans that actually work.

Partner with providers to ensure strong same-day care and optimized scheduling.

Champion an Unforgettable Patient Experience

Build a culture where patients feel valued and understood — never rushed or confused.

Support marketing programs that help grow new patient volume.

Roll up your sleeves when needed because we win as a team around here.

What We’re Looking For

This role requires a leader who’s already lived the dental world — clinically and administratively — and knows how to strengthen treatment acceptance, systems, and team culture.

2+ years of dental management experience (multi-provider and/or high-volume preferred).

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, insurance, and patient financial discussions.

Experience coaching teams on case presentation + case acceptance strategies
.

Current OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control certifications.

Proficiency with dental software (Open Dental preferred).

Leadership instincts that inspire confidence.

Bonus Points If You:

Love dashboards, KPIs, trends, and performance coaching.

Have a history of boosting treatment acceptance and strengthening patient communication systems.

Excel in busy, always-moving practices where every day is different.

Core Values You Must Live and Breathe

Fanatical Patient Focus – Every decision starts with the patient.

Creative Advantage – Solutions over excuses, every time.

Infectious Enthusiasm – Bring the spark that motivates the team.

Radical Candor – Honest, direct communication that helps everyone grow.

Obsessive Commitment to Excellence – Good enough is never enough here.

Position Summary:

As a Practice Manager, you will ensure the efficient running of a fast-paced dental office and lead a successful team that consistently meets and exceeds patient, practice and the organization’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular staff huddles; foster open communication, provide organization and practice updates and continually challenge and develop staff
  • Stay current with the latest OSHA, HIPAA and ADA regulations
  • Build and nurture a positive working relationship with the doctors and staff
  • Help build new patient growth by supporting marketing programs
  • Ensure that the practice is meeting financial goals and formulate plans to mitigate areas of concern

Qualifications:

  • H.S. diploma with a college degree or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of two years dental experience in a management role
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law
  • Proficiency with computer and dental software
