  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 12 months
  • Start: As Soon As Possible
Key Responsibilities
  • Order Management and Materials Coordinator coordinates order management processes with operations managers, supervisors, and line servers to reduce aging open orders, past-due items, and customer escalations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Syracuse planning and customer service for Syracuse products.
    • Handle escalations (coordinating reduced interruptions).
    • Process cancellations and provide status updates.
    • Identify efficiencies for assembling similar products in batches.
    • Support prioritization of assembly benches.
  • Communicate material-related issues to the Syracuse planning team, including:
    • Missing materials
    • Quality issues
    • Inventory inaccuracies in Roanoke
  • Potentially conduct cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
  • Identify BOM issues (e.g., items not back flushing) and engage planners or sustaining engineering for corrective actions.
  • Participate in Gemba walks and review metrics related to the Syracuse product line (e.g., open dollar value on floor).
