Tax Manager

Our Retail Gasoline client is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position requires a high-energy, results-oriented person with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The individual will report to the Corporate Controller and will work closely with other departments including Accounting, Legal, and Operations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of recent public accounting experience.
• Proficient in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

• Experience in consumer retail industry strongly preferred.
• Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and deadline oriented.
• Team player with the ability to handle multiple projects.

• Expertise in ASC 740 provisions and tax allocations
• Federal and state tax compliance (multi-state consumer retail)
• Experience implementing tax software solutions
• Ability to manage, lead, and assist with tax audits
• Prior supervisory experience (this role would have one direct report – Sales & Use Tax Accountant)
