The Role

The Associate, Annuity & Life Product Management is a key member of the Institutional Custody & Retirement product team and will support the development and management of a holistic suite of retirement and protection products intended for intermediary Fidelity clients like Broker Dealers and RIAs.

Expertise & Skills You Bring

This role will drive product development in partnership with intermediary clients and related external partners/ vendors. The ideal candidate must have strong domain knowledge in individual fixed and variable annuities, with expertise in life insurance and long‑term care products being a plus. Specifically, an understanding of the evolving carrier e‑App and DTCC ecosystem for end‑to‑end electronic annuity order processing and posting will differentiate a candidate.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent).
  • 3‑5 years of experience with annuities, insurance products and the respective marketplace (specifically the insurance carrier or distributor side).
  • Experience with a large (top 10) carrier of annuity products is a big plus.
  • Experience with brokerage technology is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with clients and translate their needs into product requirements for a customized platform that enables digital annuity order processing.
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of Fidelity & vendor technology teams to establish clear client‑ready outcomes that enable annuity platform adoption.
  • Entrepreneurial drive—must be a self‑starter and a critical problem solver with attention to detail coupled with the ability to work in a fast‑paced and innovative work environment.
  • You are curious, driven, collaborative in nature and an excellent teammate.
  • Must have your FINRA Series 99 and 7, or willingness to acquire within a prescribed period.
  • A history of defining priorities based on business needs and critical metrics and providing clear readouts to senior management on progress.

The Team

This dynamic group is part of the Institutional Wealth Management Services Business Unit serving a variety of institutional clients. The team works cross‑functionally with clients and a slew of internal stakeholders across Technology, Client Experience, Relationship Management, Sales and Operations to vet client workflows and needs and to build and prioritize product requirements, development and deployment in a way that ensures an optimal client experience overall.

The associates building annuity products and services form one group within an organization that supports a variety of retirement products like IRAs & HSAs, and a variety of institutional custody products serving Trust & Trust Accounting needs in the Bank & Recordkeeper space.
