The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting and finance team with responsibility for month end closing processes including, but not limited to, owning and ensuring the accuracy of cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory including freight expense, PPV, labor variances, and other expenses on the P&L; maintain accounts payable GL accounts; balance sheet reconciliations; intercompany accounting and reconciliations;

preparing and posting journal entries along with supporting schedules; assisting year-end and quarterly audits along with responding to confirmation requests from our suppliers; various projects.

Responsibilities, but not limited to

• Cost of goods sold including freight, PPV, E&O, Labor and OH
• Accounts Payable daily activity and reconciliation
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Balance sheet account reconciliations and clean up
• Prepare and record standard and non-recurring journal entries
• Complete assigned and other duties according to month-end closing schedule
• Provide cross-functional support to the team, as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA certification is preferred (working towards is a plus)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills desired (i.e., XLOOKUP’s, sum ifs, pivot tables)
• Experience with AX Dynamics or a comparable ERP
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently through problems and recommending solutions
• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and willingness to accomplish the team’s goals
