The Rosemary Power Station is a combined-cycle facility with a capacity of 160 megawatts (MW). Opportunity Summary
The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician at the Rosemary Power Station plays a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This 160 MW combined-cycle facility utilizes oil-fired combustion turbines and a steam turbine to meet regional energy demands with a focus on environmental responsibility. The technician supports equipment startup, shutdown, routine operation, and inspections, collaborating with maintenance teams and using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to sustain high performance and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Your scope of responsibility as O&M Technician will include the following primary functions:
- Support plant startup, shutdown, and routine operations while adhering to established procedures and safety protocols.
- Operate and monitor power generation systems, including combustion turbines, steam turbines, and associated auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, demineralized water systems, generator cooling systems, and condensers.
- Monitor operating conditions and record key operational parameters-such as pressure, temperature, vibration, and fluid levels-maintaining accurate logs of system status and activities.
- Perform routine visual and auditory inspections to detect early signs of equipment wear, malfunction, or other operational issues, and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Promptly report abnormal or irregular conditions and take corrective action in accordance with plant guidelines to maintain stable and safe operations.
- Assist in maintenance activities as needed, including equipment preparation, isolation, and return to service following repairs or inspections.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to initiate and track maintenance work orders, log completed tasks, and support planning of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Assist with basic instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting under the guidance of technical specialists to support safe and efficient equipment performance.
- Support environmental compliance by operating systems within permitted emissions limits and following established control procedures and reporting requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement by following all site safety practices and actively participating in safety training, meetings, and audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager to support the overall effectiveness and reliability of plant operations.

Adherence to these safety responsibilities is one of the key factors in the evaluation of each employee's performance.
Working Relationships
The O&M Technician reports directly to the Plant Manager. Additionally, this position will coordinate with all other plant personnel to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated platforms and walkways at varying heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds.
Power plant environment that may involve entering confined spaces, crawling through narrow areas, and handling hazardous materials, with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, and noise. Work may include high heat near equipment and varying outdoor weather conditions.
Some duties may require the use of protective equipment, which can include hard hats, safety glasses, and eye protection, air masks/respirators, ear protection, chemical suits, flame-resistant clothing (FRC), hot gloves, high-voltage protective gear, and fall protection. Fit testing for respirators may be required. Strict smoking restrictions apply in and around the facility.
Fitness for Duty
All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening.
