Job Description SummaryTrainee should be eager to learn Logistics & Supply Chain from colleagues and work with all internal‑stakeholders to ensure that logistics sourcing and operations for Grid Solutions are executed well in time, within budget and logistics sourcing process is compliant. The Early Career Training is a program and an investment in young talents where GE trains fresh graduates who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a GE business. The traineeship will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on‑the‑job knowledge and technical experience.
Key Responsibilities Logistics ITO (Tender Support) – GEV Grid Solutions, Gulf & Saudi Cluster- Receipt of request for budgetary logistics costs from the Tendering Department; clarify all required details for preparation and launch of RFQ.
- Preparation and dispatch of RFQs to GSA/GE Vernova approved logistics service providers; evaluate quotations, prepare price comparisons, negotiate to optimize logistics cost at tendering stage and propose best cost to the Tendering Department upon review and approval by MEA Logistics Manager & Regional Procurement & Logistics Manager.
- Maintain the tendering costs register and periodically follow up with the Tendering Department for tender status; ensure that all prices are valid until the conclusion and review periodically with Logistics Specialist, Project Procurement Leader and MEA Logistics Manager.
- Preparation of RFI to collect all required data from stakeholders and define supplier scope of work and RFQ.
- Release of RFQs to approved logistics service providers; evaluate quotations, prepare price comparisons, negotiate within project budget and propose best cost for review and approval by Logistics Specialist and MEA Logistics Manager.
- Ensure all logistics sourcing and operations are performed in line with GE’s Spirit and Letter with zero tolerance.
- Support Logistics Specialist and update Logistics Master Tracking Smart for all ongoing and upcoming shipments; share report with stakeholders.
- Ensure operations are executed in line with GE Vernova EHS Guidelines and consignments are delivered safely within stipulated deadline.
- Prepare export, courier shipment documents in line with project and local customs requirements for hassle‑free customs clearance.
- Follow up with logistics service providers (forwarder, customs clearance broker) and site teams for goods receipt, proof of delivery and invoice receipt; maintain POT% > 90% across all months.
- Prepare customs duty payment requests and upload to MYPAYMENT Tool for SADAD payment process.
- Assist in allocating project WBS for cost transfer as per OTPIP Process.
- Participate in internal project review meetings and present logistics support/progress to stakeholders.
- Help prepare customs reconciliation report.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 0-2 years experience in Logistics and Supply Chain in any reputable organization in Saudi Arabia.
- Willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- Organized and able to follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, email, data entry).
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and commitment to work.
- Good teamwork and cooperation with others.
