Senior Software Engineering

Responsibilities

Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

Maintains application system’s user and technical documentation adhering to the standards and formats defined for the department.

Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

Conducts and assists in integration testing.

Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines and best practices.

Participates in end-user training programs for the in-house developed packages as well as general-purpose application software packages as directed by the Software Engineering Manager.

Assists in technical design and development reviews.

Develops other application programs as the need arises.

Works in development team project in improving any existing/ new application programs.

Develops knowledge on new Microsoft Software application supplied utilities.

Works with IT Manager to establish timelines/project milestones.

Evaluate, recommend and apply new technical developments in areas of systems and applications programming.

Responsible for complying with cyber security policy, standards and procedures.

Maintain documentation on project details, integration points, and routine tasks.

Managechangesbyensuringthatproblemmanagementand change management procedures are adhered to and problems tracked to resolution.

Provide training to required staff.

Update applications with necessary patches as and when applicable.

Recovery/ reinstallation of applications in case of failure of the system in Production, Development and test environment.

Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.

Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
