Plumber Senior

Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer, the position will operate, maintain, and repair all aspects of the Palace’s plumbing, mechanical equipment/plants, and water treatments, in accordance with Boutique Group standards to achieve optimum operating efficiency at all times.

• Must have everything required in Mechanical and Plumbing Technician.
• Associate’s technical degree in Mechanical and Plumbing or similar, or equivalent 6 years’ experience.
• Authorized locally to work as Plumber Technician.

• 4–6 years’ direct experience in Hospitality Carpentry, Civil, and Maintenance.
• Entry-level training on BMS building automation system and ability to utilize control programs for troubleshooting.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Palace management software and systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Fluency in English;
  Arabic preferred.
• Local market experience is an asset.

• Carry out repairs and maintenance of domestic hot/cold water systems, cooling water systems, storm and sanitary sewer systems, irrigation and fountain water systems, and swimming pools.
• Attend repairs or replacement of all bathroom/toilet fixtures in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Install, build new lines, repair, replace, thread, weld all material types: copper, steel, stainless steel, PVC, UPVC, HPVC, polyprop, etc.
• Repair and maintain all plumbing networks and mechanical/electrical components.
• Perform water treatments and maintain water quality and safety programs.
• Operate, repair, maintain, and treat entire mechanical rooms, plants, networks, and systems.
• Implement repair, maintenance, operation, water quality, and water safety programs for pools, water features, saunas, jacuzzis, irrigation, and other water facilities.
• Control utility consumption and maintain plumbing, water, drainage, and irrigation systems in good condition.
• Service fan coil units in guest rooms, shops, public areas, and offices.
• Clean manholes and clear sewage/storm line blockages using snake machine or other means.
• Perform electric or oxy-acetylene welding.
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, irrigation systems, and networks.
• Conduct daily testing and water treatment of various water systems.
• Attend all types of repairs and maintenance in the Palace premises, including new additions/extensions.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes.
• Maintain clean, tidy appearance; plant rooms and workshops kept clean.
• Test and analyze all water systems: pools, water parks, spas, jacuzzis, ornamental water systems, potable/chilled/condenser water, etc., per international safety and quality standards.
• Maintain adequate chemical stocks; arrange periodic water testing for Legionella and bacteria.
• Maintain records of all tests and treatments; submit to Chief Engineer daily.
• Observe safety standards; maintain safe conditions for self and others.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
