Tower Rigger

The Tower Rigger will be responsible to climb existing towers with different heights that goes up to 100m, perform comprehensive tower inspection and ensure that erection of tower sections are carried out correctly.

• Climbing towers with different heights that varies from 5 to 100m following and complying with all safety regulations.
• Conducting physical inspection of various towers’ components such as base plates, platforms, climbing ladder, fall arrestor system, tower members and ensure all conform to approved design and free from visual defects.
• Inspecting various structure members and ensure that all are free from welding (on prefabricated parts).
• Inspecting galvanization, paint and conform their compliance with followed standards.
• Inspecting bolt assemblies (bolts, nuts, and washers) and ensure correct grade, size, length, and installation.
• Inspecting Lightning protection system and Aviation lights and ensure that they conform to approved design and supply and free from visual defects.
• Inspecting various items on the site such as gantry, tray, bracket .. etc and the ability to judge whether installed as per design or no.
• Possess the knowledge on how to inspect guy wires.
• Inspecting miscellaneous issues, quality of workmanship (tower nameplate, tower paint, tower grounding)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in climbing towers.
• Minimum High School Grade / preference will be given to nominees who hold certificate related to the field.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and risks related to climbing towers.
• Owns necessary knowledge in using rigging equipment.
• Practical knowledge of various telecom infrastructures and masts.
• Capable of assessing tower issues and how to troubleshoot them on spot.
• English Language written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
• Effective coordination abilities.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
