Senior technician - Rides & Attractions Electrical

The Senior Technician - Rides & Attractions Electrical at Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia is a key role responsible for the hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems associated with all rides and attractions. This position ensures that electrical operations are seamless, complying with safety regulations and providing an enjoyable experience for all park guests.

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical components for rides and attractions including control circuits, sensors, and safety devices.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems effectively to ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with the rides and attractions team to ensure energy efficiency and optimal ride performance.
• Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and any incidents related to electrical systems.
• Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs and safety inspections in alignment with industry standards.
• Support and mentor junior technicians, providing training on electrical systems and best maintenance practices.
• Remain up-to-date on technical advancements and suggested improvements in electrical technologies for rides and attractions.
• Participate in emergency response efforts and safety drills, demonstrating an understanding of risks and safety protocols associated with electrical systems.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety policies while working on electrical systems.

Education:

• Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, particularly in amusement parks or similar environments.

Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting skills with respect to electrical components and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and other automation systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
