Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader for the - Danah Convenience Store to support the smooth running of operations in our growing convenience store chain in Saudi Arabia. The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day store activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing specific store functions such as cashiering, stock control, customer support and store cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and ready to assist in the store’s rapid expansion.
Candidates must be open to relocation based on organizational needs.
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring that tasks are carried out smoothly and effectively (200-800 sqm).
- Support the in managing the store inventory, ensuring stock levels are appropriate and items are well merchandised.
- Monitor sales performance and ensure store targets are being met.
- Implement company policies and safety protocols compliance with the local regulations.
- Ensure store maintenance, cleanliness, and organization meet company standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries, making product recommendations, and resolving complaints.
- Actively engage with customers to provide a personalized and high-quality shopping experience.
- Support the training and development of customer service staff to improve service delivery.
- Handle customer escalations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Support and, when required, perform cashiering duties, ensuring smooth and efficient checkout operations.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, card, and digital payments.
- Ensure proper handling of discounts, refunds, and void transactions, preventing financial discrepancies.
- Assist in cash reconciliation and end-of-day register balancing to maintain accurate financial records.
- Train and oversee cashiers to ensure adherence to best practices, pricing accuracy, and fraud prevention.
- Ensure the store is kept clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
- Supervise and, when needed, participate in cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing checkout areas, shelves, and storage rooms.
- Enforce cleanliness and hygiene standards among employees, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain tidy and well-organized stockrooms to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and motivate a team of store staff, including cashiers, customer service representatives, and stock handlers.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure high performance and teamwork.
- Step in as the primary point of contact for staff in the case absence of the scheduled staff.
- Conduct training sessions on store policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Support in monitoring cash handling, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
- Ensure smooth daily reconciliation and assist with store financial reporting.
- Prevent and address any issues related to theft or fraud in store operations.
- Responsible in implementing storewide promotions, marketing strategies, and customer engagement programs.
- Provide feedback on store performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in identifying new opportunities for operational improvements and cost reductions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management or team leadership in an FMCG or convenience store environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands‑on, collaborative management style.
- Ability to take charge of operations in their absence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of retail systems, POS operations, and inventory management.
- Fluency in English;
Arabic proficiency is a plus. - Open to relocation based on organizational needs.
