The Trader role is critical to daily category performance.
Role OverviewThe Beauty Trader is responsible for stock management, reorders, in-season trading execution, and promotional performance within the Beauty category.
This is a commercial trading role — focused on availability, stock efficiency, and revenue optimization.
You will work closely with the Buyer and Supply Chain to ensure the category trades strongly every week while controlling inventory risk.
Key ResponsibilitiesStock Management & Reorders
- Monitor daily stock levels and stock cover
- Plan and execute reorders based on sales velocity
- Prevent stock-outs on hero SKUs
- Control overstock and reduce aging inventory
- Manage replenishment cycles with suppliers
In-Season Trading
- Track sell-through and weekly performance
- Identify fast-moving and slow-moving SKUs
- Adjust stock flow based on demand trends
- React quickly to sales spikes or slowdowns
Promotions & Campaign Execution
- Allocate inventory for campaigns (Ramadan, Payday, National Day, etc.)
- Support discount strategy execution
- Monitor promotional performance and margin impact
- Ensure sufficient stock during peak trading periods
Inventory Health
- Monitor aging and expiry (where relevant)
- Drive action plans for slow-moving stock
- Support markdown decisions
- Improve overall stock efficiency
Reporting & Analysis
- Weekly trading reports (sales, stock cover, aging, margin impact)
- Performance analysis by SKU and brand
- Provide insights to Buyer for range optimization
KPIs
- Stock availability rate
- Stock cover efficiency
- Aging inventory reduction
- Stock-out reduction on top SKUs
- Promotional sell-through rate
- Inventory turnover
- 3–6 years experience in trading, merchandising, or stock planning (e-commerce preferred)
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- High attention to detail
- Commercial mindset (understands margin impact)
- Fast decision-maker
- Comfortable working in a high-growth startup environment

- Strong ownership of numbers
