Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Food & Chemical Specialist to support compliance, auditing, and quality control activities within the food manufacturing and processing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food regulatory frameworks, product testing methodologies, and quality management systems, ensuring that products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standard.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and quality regulations.
- Conduct internal and external audits of food manufacturing and processing facilities.
- Review and evaluate food products, processes, and production systems for regulatory and quality compliance.
- Oversee product testing, sampling procedures, and laboratory coordination.
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
- Prepare detailed audit reports, compliance documentation, and corrective action plans.
- Provide technical guidance on food safety standards, hazard analysis, and process control.
- Support certification and surveillance audits related to ISO and food safety schemes.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and regulatory teams to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology/Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the food industry (manufacturing or processing sectors).
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, quality management systems (QMS), testing methods, and various food product categories and their processes.
- Experience in compliance, product testing, or auditing within the food industry is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSC 22000, or equivalent.
- Authority-approved auditor status is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, report writing, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English is required;
Arabic fluency is an added advantage.
