DescriptionHours of Operation:24 hours / 7 days per week
# of Beds: 24 Beds
PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSESAll pediatric patients with acute, unstable surgical or medical conditions requiring intermediate level of care between the PICU and general wards.
NURSING PROCEDURES- Patient whose condition requires hourly/two hourly physiological monitoring
- 24-hour cardiac monitoring
- Continuous IV medication infusions
- Moderate Sedation - for Lumber puncture, skin and muscle biopsy
- Assisting with insertion and management and management of chest tube
- Continuous Nebulization
- PCA and Morphine Infusions
- IV Fluids Resuscitations
- Airways management including CPAP
