Job DescriptionResponsible in R&D Department to develop new formulations of epoxy products, cementitious products and PU products.
Responsible for defining QC specification for epoxy products, epoxy raw materials, cementitious raw material and cementitious products.
Responsible for product modification (based on PMP request) of cementitious, Epoxy and PU products.
Responsible for Lab instrument calibration and maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Designing and carrying out various trials in cementitious, epoxy and PU products
- Sourcing out new raw materials for cementitious, epoxy and PU products
- Various cost‑reduction exercises including introduction of cheap new raw materials, streamlining the product process and coordinating with the production team
- Batch correction suggestions
- Training Lab technicians and Chemists
- Q.C and R&D records monitoring
- Adheres to policies regarding confidential information
- Liaison with production, technical service on day‑to‑day basis
- Supporting the lab manager with other tasks that may be delegated
- Major degree in chemistry or related field
- 2 years experience in construction chemicals in R&D department
- Fluent in English language (reading, writing and speaking)
- Fluent in Arabic if possible
- Fully conversant with computer operations and good knowledge of software
- Self‑motivated
- Knowledge in Facade and curtain wall market
- Problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication in Arabic and English
- Teamwork and team building
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Working under pressure
