Financial Controller (Retail), Riyadh

Our client is a leading large-scale company in the Retail industry. We are seeking a highly strategic and meticulous Financial Controller to oversee our financial health and ensure operational excellence within our Riyadh-based operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in guiding senior management through complex financial landscapes and optimizing retail performance.

• Financial Oversight:
  Direct and manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition for the retail division.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting, specifically tracking retail-specific KPIs like sales-per-square-foot and inventory turnover.
• Reporting:
  Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for senior management review.
• Internal Controls:
  Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets, particularly focusing on retail inventory and cash management at outlets.
• Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian local laws, ZATCA tax regulations (VAT/Zakat), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Strategic Support:
  Provide insightful analysis of margins, operational costs, and promotional ROI to support senior management in strategic decision-making.
• Team Leadership:
  Supervise, mentor, and manage the finance team to ensure high performance and career development.

• Education:
  
  BA in Accounting; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 15 years of progressive financial management experience.
• Industry: Mandatory experience in the Retail sector.
• Languages:
  
  Full professional proficiency in both Arabic and English (Mandatory).
• Location:
  
  Riyadh (Candidates must be based inside Saudi Arabia).
• Availability:
  Immediate joiners or those with a maximum 30-day notice period.
• Working Days:
  Standard 5 or 6 days per week as per company policy (within Saudi Labor Law limits).
