Chief Business Officer

About the Role

We are a newly established digital bank headquartered in Riyadh
, built to redefine banking through technology, data, and customer-centric innovation. As we scale our platform and prepare for rapid market growth, we are seeking an experienced Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead our commercial strategy and drive sustainable revenue growth.

The CBO will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s go-to-market strategy, partnerships, product commercialization, and overall business performance, working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team.

• Define and execute the bank’s commercial and growth strategy
  , aligned with regulatory and shareholder objectives
• Lead revenue generation across products, channels, and customer segments (retail, SME, corporate, or ecosystem-based models)
• Oversee product strategy and commercialization
  , from concept to market launch and scale
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with fintechs, ecosystem players, and third-party service providers
• Drive customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value through data-driven strategies
• Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure scalable and compliant growth
• Build and lead high-performing business, sales, marketing, and partnerships teams
• Track market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging digital banking opportunities within KSA and the wider region
• Represent the bank with key stakeholders, partners, and regulators as required

• 15+ years of experience in banking, fintech, financial services, or digital platforms
  , with at least 5 years in a senior executive role
• Proven track record of building and scaling digital or consumer-focused financial products
• Strong commercial acumen with experience driving P&L ownership and revenue growth
• Deep understanding of digital banking models
  , customer experience, and data-led decision-making
• Experience working within regulated financial environments (SAMA experience is a strong advantage)
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
