Overview

The Director of Compliance & Certification at the Strategic Delivery Unit (SDU) - Quality is responsible for leading the development, execution, and continual advancement of the SDU Compliance and Certification Framework, ensuring full alignment with ISO 9001, corporate governance standards, and regulatory obligations. The role provides strategic oversight of compliance governance across SDU and QIC, ensuring that all processes, procedures, and documented information consistently meet quality, compliance, and certification requirements.

This includes driving compliance culture, leading awareness and capability-building programs, monitoring adherence, and overseeing internal and external audits to proactively identify risks and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions. Additionally, the Director ensures strong collaboration with SDU verticals and Business Units, oversees the management of all QIC certifications, and leads the preparation of high-quality compliance reports, dashboards, and insights. The role is also accountable for developing standardized compliance communication materials, ensuring alignment with QIC branding, and fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the SDU Compliance Framework in alignment with ISO 9001, internal governance, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are updated, relevant, and effectively communicated
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external audits and Enterprise Internal Audit, working closely with the SDU Internal Audit team to ensure readiness, coordination, and effective closure of audit actions
  • Collaborate with the SDU Quality Internal Audit team to develop the annual audit program and ensure all audit tools, methodologies, and checklists are fully aligned with the Compliance Framework
  • Monitor compliance performance through assessment of process adherence, risks, documentation quality, and alignment with QMS requirements
  • Deliver compliance awareness and capacity-building initiatives, including training for SDU staff, Business Units, and functions
  • Review and assess SDU processes and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to ISO 9001 and internal compliance standards
  • Provide expert guidance to SDU verticals to ensure consistent application of compliance requirements and support resolution of compliance challenges
  • Identify emerging compliance risks and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend mitigation strategies
  • Prepare high-quality compliance dashboards, reports, and insights to support strategic decision-making and enhance transparency across SDU leadership
  • Maintain strong governance of documented information, including document control, version management, and accuracy in coordination with the Document Control Lead
  • Facilitate cross-functional compliance reviews to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Lead compliance components of SDU Quality meetings, ensuring accurate documentation, structured follow-up, and performance tracking
  • Ensure all compliance communications and deliverables adhere to SDU branding, tone, and formatting standards
Requirements

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in corporate governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, certification management, internal controls, and audit leadership.

Experience in leading compliance functions, managing certification programs, and driving cross-functional alignment in large or complex organizations is highly desirable.

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification (preferred)

Certifications in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), such as ISO 31000 Risk Management, ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery, or COBIT (advantageous).

BS degree in Quality Management, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related discipline
