We are seeking a visionary Work Package Director to join our Project Administration and Supervision Consultancy Services (PASC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will lead our PASC team to deliver a highly specialised Logistics Project.
Responsibilities- Manage package(s) and oversee performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Guarantee successful delivery of the project.
- Serve as a senior team member and leader, maintaining direct communication with key client stakeholders.
- Act as a shared resource within the core management team across the PMC program.
- Assume overall responsibility for successful delivery and completion of the project.
- Represent the client with full delegated authority.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of consultants and contractors, supported by the PMC team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for public agencies, corporations, government officials and stakeholders.
- Provide timely, insightful advice and regular progress updates to the client’s portfolio team.
- Lead, motivate, and guide the PMC team, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
- Proactively communicate and share relevant information with the client, design teams, external stakeholders and others as necessary.
- Monitor audits to ensure they are thorough and the supply chain meets contractual requirements, delivering projects on schedule.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly that could impact the project’s timeline, budget, quality, safety or the client’s reputation.
- Ensure optimal allocation and utilisation of PMC team resources for the best possible project outcomes.
- Drive initiatives aimed at achieving cost savings and operational efficiencies in procurement.
- Safeguard the PMC team’s commercial interests and ensure effective management of financial and contractual matters.
- Oversee the change management process and foster innovation initiatives to improve project outcomes.
- Develop, monitor, and update the project schedule, ensuring milestones are met.
- Provide regular progress reports (weekly/monthly or as required) to the client.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive communication plan to ensure effective information flow and day‑to‑day coordination across all teams and stakeholders.
- Take a leadership role in managing project risks related to programme, cost and quality, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
- Resolve conflicts swiftly to minimise any negative impact on the project’s progress.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably Mechanical or Civil.
- Minimum of 20 years’ experience in urban planning and infrastructure projects, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
- Strong organisational qualities with background as Design Office Director supervising pools of designers and projects at all stages.
- Strong design and supervision skills, winning work and overseeing delivery.
- Effective leader with an instinctive eye for talent; proven ability to motivate others and get results through direct reports and external suppliers.
- Strategic thinker – ability to spot opportunities and galvanise resources and expertise to capitalize on them.
- Experience interpreting and understanding local rules, regulations and design guides.
- Excellent client‑meeting, presentation and report‑writing skills.
- Entrepreneurial outlook – keen interest to play a pivotal role in growing the business.
